Realization of everlasting life

The miraculous resurrection of Jesus Christ has been a topic of debate since the 1st Century. Some people do not accept this fact saying it is impossible for anyone to resurrect after death. It is understandable as the law of nature says so. But we need to realize the fact that God is the One who created life and He knows how to overcome death, the enemy of life. Doesn’t the maker of a lock know how to open it?

The resurrection of Jesus is true because it was foretold in the Bible. The Bible says in Psalm 16:10, “For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption” and in Psalm 49:15, “But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: for he shall receive me.” The resurrection of Jesus proved those lines written centuries ago inspired by God.

The fact that Jesus Himself proclaimed that He will rise up from dead is an evidence for His resurrection and His deity. He said in Mark 9:31, “The Son of man is delivered into the hands of men, and they shall kill him; and after that he is killed, he shall rise the third day.” Jesus proved His words when he rose from the dead on the third day.

If Jesus had not resurrected, the realization of everlasting life would have not been possible and our lives would be meaningless. The resurrection of Jesus gives hope to the entire mankind. Jesus says in John 11:25, “I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.” All who repent and believe in Him for the forgiveness of their sins will receive everlasting life.  Do you believe in Him?
