The Bible says in Genesis 1:1, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” It pleased God to create men in His likeness. Genesis 1:27 says, “God created man in His own image.” Man walked according to His own desire and moved away from God.
Romans 3:23 says, “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” God demonstrated His love by sending His promised Son Jesus Christ. John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
Jesus Christ paid the price for our sins by submitting Himself to be crucified and killed on the cross. Isaiah 53:5 says, “He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities;the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.”
The power of death could not bind Him for He rose from the dead and lives forever. An angel proclaimed the resurrection of Jesus in Matthew 28:6 saying, “He is not here; for He is risen.” Jesus forgives all those who repent and put their trust in Him. He gives them eternal life in heaven. Jesus says in John 14:6, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
